Well, I've been making several backups of the database and I've already copied all the files so I can transfer them to the new hosting provider. Unfortunately, there may be a small outage on this forum for possibly up to 48 hours once I fully make the switch.

The album has been quite the project. We've been having SO many problems with ProTools for Windows. DAE error, DAE error, please change the disk cache to be larger when it's already ON the largest, so we switch it to the smallest and low and behold it works, but only after changing some other settings that should be arbitrary to the whole thing. Then it does it again and we have to switch it back to larger. Over and OVER and OVER again. That damn playback engine in ProTools. I used to brag about how GREAT ProTools is--well, I can safely say that FOR WINDOWS, ProTools is CRAP! I wish we had a new Mac Pro and we'd probably never experience this kind of crap.

I also found out that I'm pretty much the only one who has the ear for mixing, so it has been up to me to do ALL the mixing for the entire album, PLUS finishing up all the vocals. Sleazy Vegetable Joe/Loki knows all about all the editing functions of ProTools and he's a total whiz about that, he just doesn't have the mixing ear, and Rob is great at mic setups for the drums but alas, he doesn't really have the mixing ear either--SO, a LOT is on my shoulders.

Back to the DAE errors--we had some RTAS effects installed before that was causing ProTools to flat-out crash, and it was getting so bad by the end of last week that we had to uninstall it--now I'm having to go through ALL those effects that are no longer valid and redo them using alternatives, including some of the simulated amps. It has been an utter and total nightmare, and I've been running myself ragged lately and recently got the flu because of my stress levels. Lame.
