hypoallergenic deodorants that actually work?

Does anyone know of any hypoallergenic deodorants that actually work?

Up until a couple weeks ago, I would have sworn up and down by the salt stone deodorants. They do the job well.

I break out in a rash and then hives from aluminum chloride. I get hives from most clothing detergents unless they're dye and fragrance free, and even then there are some brands that I still break out from. I get hives from fabric softener.

If I do the baking soda route, it works fine for the day, but if I do it more than 2 days in a row, I break out in a rash.

Toms of Maine products don't work worth anything--they work for a half an hour and then fails.

I used to take a spray bottle with a 5% bleach water solution and in the shower spray it on and then rinse it off as much as possible. I did it for about 6 years with no problem--then suddenly I can't use it anymore or I'll get a rash from it, even though it's completely rinsed off and even if I follow the rinse with a vinegar solution and then rinse that off. It worked great while it lasted.

I can use purell or rubbing alcohol, but that works for 15 minutes tops and I'd have to keep applying it every 15-30 minutes all day. That's not a real answer.

Then I found out about the salt stone deodorants. They worked better than anything I had used previously, and I used it for 2 years, and suddenly 2 weeks ago my body has rejected yet another method that actually works.

Should I just nickname myself "stinky" or is there something that people have tried that works that doesn't give their body a problem?

Has anyone tried chlorophyll pills? Do they work? Do they give you the runs?

In case someone thought that maybe cologne was the answer, I'm allergic to strong artificial scents and so are many of my friends. I like patchouli and am not allergic to it, but many of my friends are.

My friends are willing to put up with the lack of deodorant, my band certainly is willing to put up with it, but this puts a serious damper on the types of work I can get.

First, are you SURE you have body odor?

My partner is also very sensitive to scents and dyes and breaks out in rashes just walking through the hygiene aisles in the grocery LOL.
He doesn't use deodorant - and he never smells. He does shower twice a day ... but he doesn't use anything, and there's no problem at all.

I'm trying to find some walk-in stores that carry Lavilin--interesting. It definitely seems like something worth checking out.

Yes, I definitely have body odor. I also can't shower with soap (no matter what kind--even homemade soap) more than every other day or my skin gets itchy, scaley, and peels.

Personally I don't mind having B.O., I actually like it when I smell it on other guys (how weird am I), but I'm not trying to offend people simply with my presence.

I found out that the main ingredients in Lavilin are arnica and calendula, which brings up a lot of other products when those ingredients are googled along with deodorant.

Hmm, well, I've tried a product with those ingredients, and I'll have to try a different one. When my pits started itching badly after just 10 minutes, I took it off. Damn.

Well, like I've said, I guess my nickname is going to be "stinky" for a while. Maybe I can learn to enjoy the bad reactions from people?
